I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
